The Hearing Loss Association of America—Greater Richmond Chapter(HLAA-GRC) is a local chapter of the national organization of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA). HLAA-GRC is a 501(c)3 non-profit and non-sectarian organization. We meet the second Saturday of the month during January, February, March, April, May, September, Octo-ber, and November. We also provide programs and community outreach projects related to hearing loss. By joining a group of people with the same problem, we find that we are not alone in what we are facing. Through sharing concerns, gaining information, and making friends, we find better ways of looking at and dealing with hearing loss.
Our meetings are free and open to the public. We demonstrate assertive devices, teach coping skills, and educate people of all ages in dealing with hearing loss. We encourage you to come and see for yourself how important it is for hard of hearing people to meet and to provide encouragement for one another. You will find support, friendship, and understanding at our meetings.
